Rhonda K. Grubbs and Michael D. Kristofco Present at PASPA 30th Annual Conference

On February 25, 2016, Rhonda K. Grubbs and Michael D. Kristofco presented on “FLSA in the Schools – Recent Changes and Key Issues for School Districts” at the Pennsylvania Association of School Personnel Administrators’ 30th Annual Conference at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel. This was an overview of the legal requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and recent regulatory changes. The presentation included a discussion of special legal issues facing school districts under the FLSA including exempt employees holding extra duty positions, calculating overtime for employees with different rates of pay, best practices, and tips for avoiding a lawsuit.
