Michael D. Kristofco Presents at PASPA 32nd Annual Conference

On Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Harrisburg, PA, Michael D. Kristofco presented at the Pennsylvania Association of School Personnel Administrators (PASPA) 32nd Annual Conference on the topic of “Addressing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace.”

New accusations of sexual harassment surface in the media on an almost daily basis. Like all employers, school districts must renew their focus on the prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace and the proper handling of sexual harassment complaints. This presentation will discuss strategies for preventing sexual harassment in the workplace and properly handling and investigating claims of sexual harassment, including how to address claims of past misconduct. Finally, this presentation will discuss the legal defenses available to school districts and the best practices for ensuring that school districts meets the requirements for being able to assert those defenses.
