Mark J. Burgmann Serves on Philadelphia Bar Association Education Panel

Wisler Pearlstine Associate Mark J. Burgmann, a member of the firm’s Special Education Law practice, served as a panelist at the Philadelphia Bar Association‘s Meeting the Moment event yesterday, focusing on education and disability rights. This is one of many in a series on topics affecting our clients and the community, this time focusing on education.

The event provided an overview of the recent threatened rollbacks in federal education funding, oversight, and support, including the proposed shutdown of the U.S. Department of Education and the impacts on students with disabilities. Mr. Burgmann and his fellow panelists discussed top-of-mind issues and impacts due to recent policy changes at the federal level, the critical court cases on the horizon, and what the legal community can do to help.
