Savannah M. Figueroa is an associate in the firm’s Education Law practice, representing school districts in special education matters.

Before joining Wisler Pearlstine, Ms. Figueroa served as an Assistant City Solicitor in the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Human Services. In that capacity, she litigated child welfare cases and ensured legal compliance with the Department and City policies. Formerly, she served as an Attorney for the City of Buffalo, NY Urban Renewal Agency ensuring federal, state, and local compliance on economic development projects, including commercial real estate and affordable housing projects.

Ms. Figueroa received her juris doctor and master of social work in 2021 from the University at Buffalo. While in law school, she served as the Fundraising Coordinator of the Student Bar Association, editor of the Human Rights Law Journal, and as Alumni Director for the Latin American Law Student Association. Ms. Figueroa was also an Arthur A. Schomburg Fellow and scholarship recipient. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Delaware in 2014.

Ms. Figueroa is a former educator who grew deeply committed to pursuing education law after teaching in the rural and eastern region of North Carolina with Teach for America in 2016.

Personal Interests

When not practicing law, Ms. Figueroa enjoys practicing and teaching yoga. She becomes expressive by painting abstract art and writing poetry.
