Haley L. Hamschin is a 2024 graduate of Penn State Law’s Accelerated J.D. Program. Ms. Hamschin was the first student to be accepted into the program, allowing her to simultaneously complete her legal studies and undergraduate degree.
While in law school, she provided free legal services to low-income clients through the Penn State Family Law Clinic. Ms. Hamschin earned concentrations in the following areas: families, children, and the law, constitutional law and civil rights, health law, public interest law, advocacy and litigation, arbitration, mediation and negotiation. She was a 2024 recipient of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), Pennsylvania Chapter’s Eric D. Turner Award. This award is given to one third-year student at each Pennsylvania law school who best exemplifies the positive attributes of a matrimonial lawyer.
While pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Penn State, Ms. Hamschin was involved in THON, where she worked to fundraise and support families and children affected by pediatric cancer. She also coordinated several nonprofit events to promote mental health awareness and was involved in legislative advocacy efforts to increase screening for various mental health conditions in public schools across the Commonwealth. Ms. Hamschin earned her bachelor’s degree in 2022, graduating magna cum laude.
Personal Interests
When not practicing law, Ms. Hamschin enjoys hiking, watching college sports, reading, and spending time with her family and pets.
