ADR

Wisler Pearlstine’s ADR practice is comprised of experienced arbitrators and mediators who can resolve disputes efficiently and cost-effectively. The firm is a leader in this area and maintains a full-time active ADR practice assisting clients and other lawyers. The practice is lead by Mason Avrigian, Sr., a former civil litigator and Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County. Mr. Avrigian currently devotes his entire practice to serving as an arbitrator or mediator in various types of matters and disputes.

Also serving in the ADR practice is Andrew B. Cantor. Mr. Cantor is a lawyer with more than 40 years of experience handling all types of legal matters including trials, corporate matters, negligence, real estate and assessments, professional liability, municipal, zoning and related areas. Mr. Cantor likewise devotes a substantial portion of his practice to handling ADR matters.

The types of matters that the ADR practice has participated in include the following:

  • Personal injury, aviation, automobile, construction accidents.
  • Landlord and lease disputes, owner and tenant liability; both residential and commercial.
  • Construction claims, including disputes between and among owners, architects, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Medical malpractice claims, involving both hospitals and physicians.
  • Legal malpractice.
  • Business disputes, including shareholder and partnership dissolution and related claims.
  • Law office dissolution proceedings and claims.
  • Divorce and equitable distribution.
  • Casualty carriers – liability participation and apportionment.

The firm’s new office facilities will enable the ADR practice to accommodate all type of mediations and arbitrations, from two-party disputes to large scale, multi-party proceedings. In addition, our in-house teleconferencing capabilities will enable off-site testimony or participation and save substantially on clients’ cost for travel.
