Amy P. De Shong, Partner
adeshong@wispearl.com

Ms. De Shong is a Partner with Wisler Pearlstine and concentrates her practice in the area of Family Law.  She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a national organization of approximately 1600 highly skilled litigators and negotiators who represent individuals in all areas of family law. (For more information about the academy, please visit www.aaml.org) Ms. De Shong is past Chair of the Montgomery Bar Association Family Law Section. She has lectured, written and planned courses regarding family law matters for the Montgomery Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Ms. De Shong serves on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Bar Association.

In addition to providing representation in the litigation forum, Ms. De Shong provides practical guidance and support for clients who may not be certain that a divorce is appropriate for them, or who find themselves facing the possibility of a divorce they do not want, but wish to be fully informed of their legal rights and options. While Ms. de Shong provides very strong advocacy to her clients, she recognizes that the negotiation of a successful outcome is more often in her clients' emotional and financial best interests than costly litigation.

Ms. De Shong received her Bachelors of Arts degree in 1983 from Mount Holyoke College and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1986. She is admitted to practice before the courts in Pennsylvania and the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of PA.
