Ms. Huot is an Associate with Wisler Pearlstine and concentrates her practice in the area of School Law/Litigation. She represents school districts, charter schools and educational management organizations, particularly in the area of special education. She advises clients in all aspects of school law and special education law, including representation in administrative proceedings, appeals and litigation in state and federal court. She has lectured, written materials and planned seminars regarding school law matters.
Prior to working with Wisler Pearlstine, Ms. Huot was an Assistant City Solicitor with the City of Philadelphia Law Department for six years, where she practiced in the areas of civil rights litigation, child welfare law and health law. Prior to working with the Law Department, she was an associate in civil litigation at Duane Morris & Heckscher in Philadelphia.
Ms. Huot received her Bachelors of Arts degree from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota, and her J.D. from Widener University School of Law. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable James R. Cavanaugh, in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice before the courts in Pennsylvania, the District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
