Amy P. De Shong, Partner
adeshong@wispearl.com

Ms. De Shong concentrates her practice in the area of Family Law.  She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a national organization of approximately 1600 highly skilled litigators and negotiators who represent individuals in all areas of family law. (For more information about the academy, please visit www.aaml.org) Ms. De Shong is past Chair of the Montgomery Bar Association Family Law Section and the Continuing Legal Education Committee. She has lectured, written and planned courses regarding family law matters for the Montgomery Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Institute for Certified Public Accountants. Ms. De Shong served on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Bar Association.

In addition to providing representation in the litigation forum, Ms. De Shong provides practical guidance and support for clients who may not be certain that a divorce is appropriate for them, but wish to be fully informed of their legal rights and options. Ms. De Shong helps clients negotiate cohabitation, partnership and prenuptial agreements. While Ms. De Shong provides strong advocacy to her clients, she recognizes that the negotiation of a successful outcome is more often in her clients' emotional and financial best interests than costly litigation.
