CONSTRUCTION LAW AND LITIGATION

The firm has an active and extensive construction law practice. The construction law practice involves both public and private construction projects ranging from relatively small projects to large complex projects involving millions of dollars. We are counsel for and represent owners, contractors, subcontractors and architect/engineers in a variety of construction law matters. Representations include prosecuting and defending construction claims (e.g., claims for delay, disruption and acceleration of work), extra work and change order disputes, bid disputes, surety law matters including payment and performance bond claims, mechanics’ lien claims, OSHA claims and project safety matters, claims for defective work and related construction law matters. The firm’s construction practice also involves expertise in drafting and reviewing construction contracts.

Attorneys in the construction law practice regularly handle trials and other proceedings in the state and federal courts and arbitrations and mediations before the American Arbitration Association and other public and private bodies. Our attorneys regularly write and speak on construction law matters and counsel clients on developments in construction law, contract review and revisions and the avoidance and preservation/preparation of claims. The firm is a member of the Contractors Association of Eastern Pennsylvania and represents a number of heavy, highway and utility contractors in construction law matters.
