Mason Avrigian, counsel to the firm, is a former Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County’s 38th Judicial District (1977 to 1982). Today, he is one of the most sought after arbitrators/mediators in the Delaware Valley, dedicating his entire practice to alternative dispute resolution. For over a decade, he has been named in the publication, The Best Lawyers in America; since 1987 to date and has also been named as one of Pennsylvania’s Top 100 Super Lawyers from 2004 through 2010 by the publication, Law and Politics. He lectures widely on civil litigation, family law, ethics and professionalism. A past member of the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Mr. Avrigian chairs the Bar’s Senior Lawyers Committee. He is presently a Trustee of the Pennsylvania Bar Insurance Fund and Trust Fund. He was appointed and serves as a hearing committee member of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He was President (1974) of the Montgomery Bar Association and now chairs the Past Presidents’ Council. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and past President of the Desmond J. McTighe Chapter of American Inns of Court. Prior to serving on the bench, Mr. Avrigian, was a Special Assistant to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from 1962 through 1968. Over the last 10 years, he has served as a member and Chairman of the Governor’s Judicial Selection Commission on numerous occasions.
