Ms. Goldman is an Education Specialist in the firm’s Education Law group. Ms. Goldman brings her experience as both a Pennsylvania certified school psychologist and an elementary school teacher to Wisler Pearlstine.
Prior to joining Wisler Pearlstine, Ms. Goldman worked as a school psychologist in a Bucks County school district for nine years where she performed hundreds of initial multidisciplinary evaluations and reevaluations of preschool through high school students with learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, autism spectrum disorders, and gifted needs. She also assisted in the development of Section 504 Plans and Individualized Education Plans, conducted Functional Behavior Assessments, developed Behavior Intervention Plans, developed parent questionnaires and approaches for curriculum-based assessments and was an active participant in Instructional Support Teams and Student Assistance Teams. During her school psychology tenure, Ms. Goldman assisted school district attorneys in preparing for and conducting due process hearings and mediation. Ms. Goldman has additional experience in local public schools as a reading teacher, classroom teacher, and gifted support teacher.
At Wisler Pearlstine, Ms. Goldman brings her expertise to assist in case preparation by analyzing evaluation reports, independent educational evaluations, and IEPs and offering solutions. Ms. Goldman has assisted with closing briefs which have yielded successful results for our clients, has developed Powerpoint presentations for special education directors, teachers, and school board members, and has drafted school policies on various issues. Ms. Goldman’s first-hand knowledge of assessment instruments, educational disabilities, curricula, and best practices in the field of education contributes additional value to our clients.
